For most of the past year, U.S. Attorney John Huber was supposed to be auditing the Uranium One investigation and probing alleged abuses of FISA surveillance.

The huge problem is that this Obama-holdover hasn’t bothered to interview the key witnesses.

Victoria Toensing demands to know “what has he been doing?”

The attorney for undercover Uranium One informant Douglas Campbell has a message for congressional Republicans. “You’ve been snookered!”

Toensing insists that Bruce Ohr and Nellie Ohr should also have been interrogated by now.

“What exactly are Mueller and Huber doing if they’re not questioning key officials in the Department of Justice.

” Campbell has all the dirt on the Uranium One scandal.

Especially how Barack Obama’s Federal Bureau of Investigation and Justice Department intentionally hid the investigation from Congress.

Toensing isn’t the slightest bit surprised that Robert Mueller hasn’t done any digging into Ohr or Uranium One because his mandate is to go after President Donald Trump, but she’s “absolutely shocked” that Huber hasn’t contacted her client.

The lawmakers need to find out “why these people have not been interviewed nine months into the evaluation,” says Toensing.

“Nine months later,” Campbell is still waiting for a call, Toensing told Fox News, “not only has [neither] Bruce Ohr [nor] Nellie Ohr been interviewed, but my client in Uranium One … has not been interviewed.”

On July 27, 2017, conservative Republican lawmakers in the House and Senate asked Jeff Sessions to appoint a special counsel to look into a few things.

They got Huber instead.

It’s easy to point the finger at Sessions as responsible for that, but the criticism probably isn’t justified.

As a former Senator, Sessions was still finding his footing at the Justice Department.

Without knowing the ins and outs of departmental procedure, Sessions was forced to rely on the advice of the career administrators, who apparently convinced him that Huber was the best candidate for the job.

Last fall, big name Republicans in both houses of congress wanted a probe into, “email controversies, mishandling classified information, Fusion GPS and the Christopher Steele dossier, FISA warrants, wire taps, leaks, grand juries, the Clinton Foundation and the Uranium One deal,” World Tribune relates.

When the group called for the appointment of a special counsel to look into both Uranium One and the surveillance abuses, the assistant attorney general assured the congressmen “senior prosecutors” were “evaluating” the accusations.

From remarks that Sessions and other officials made publicly, it seems that Sessions had been convinced by others that appointing Huber would allow for the appearance of partisanship to be avoided, while allowing for “the expedition of any criminal inquiries at a point in the inspector general investigation where Horowitz would normally need help from a U.S. attorney.”

The Hill backs that up, “White House officials see Huber as a second special counsel in everything but name because he has the authority to prosecute, a task the inspector general has to refer to a U.S. attorney.”

Congress was shocked to learn from Bruce Ohr’s recent testimony, in a joint hearing of the House Judiciary Committee and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, that the former Department of Justice official hasn’t been questioned by either Robert Mueller or John Huber about his extra-curricular activities.

He stands accused of feeding Christopher Steele’s dossier to the FISA court in easy to swallow pieces.

His wife Nellie Ohr has not been interviewed.

She works for Fusion GPS, the company who hired Steele and paid for his report.

“privately voicing frustration that the agency and the Department of Justice have focused almost exclusively on investigations of Trump-Russia collusion while allowing probes on other major issues to die, including Hillary Clinton’s ties to the sale of U.S. uranium rights to a Russian-controlled company.”

According to a former senior FBI official, “It seems that there is a pattern of investigations dying on the vine that is occurring for no other explainable reason but that senior executives both in the FBI and DOJ are choosing to allow them to die or forcing them to die.”

The agent told journalist Sara Carter, “the people actually doing the investigating, the junior agents, aren’t the ones who can make the decisions to allow the case to die.

It can only be done at the very senior levels at the FBI.
AKA: the seventh floor.”

When President Trump took office, he requested all sitting U.S. Attorneys turn in their resignations, but a high ranking benefactor came to Huber’s rescue.

“Huber has an important backer in Utah’s senior senator, Orrin Hatch.”

The Obama appointee nailed down “an interim appointment under the Federal Vacancies Act, until the president could be persuaded to re-nominate him.

He was confirmed a second time for the post in August,” Judicial Watch asserts.

On March of 2018, Attorney General Sessions announced Huber’s appointment.

The attorney was tasked with making “recommendations as to whether any matters not currently under investigation should be opened, whether any matters currently under investigation require further resources, or whether any matters merit the appointment of a special counsel.”

Huber is so special that he was granted all the powers of a special counsel without the official title.

As time goes by it’s starting to appear that his investigation is a sham.

“How can you even evaluate those two issues without talking to those three people?!
