Il 25 Luglio, a Milano, si è tenuto un incontro fra Assolombarda e le varie istituzioni Libiche,
alla presenza del console libico a Milano; riunione fatta
in preparazione dell'incontro previsto per il 22 Settembre fra operatori delle due nazioni.
Certamente saranno anche da chiarire e da puntualizzare i meccanismi e le procedure dei pagamenti dalla Libia
all'Italia..
Non solo.
Molti enti statali Libici non hanno una legittimità ed un vero potere di spesa in quanto, non essendoci un
governo riconosciuto internazionalmente, hanno difficoltà ad utilizzare i proventi delle royalty in valuta.
Forse un incontro del genere potrebbe avere maggiori opportunità di successo se fatto dopo legittime votazioni e dopo
il riconoscimento di un governo democratico da parte della comunità internazionale..
A meeting was held in Milan on Monday 25 with the city’s Assolombarda business council in preparation
for the holding of the Libyan-Italian Economic Forum in Milan this September.
The meeting included the Chairman of the Tripoli Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Faraj Dribel,
several directors from Assolombarda, and in the presence of the Libyan Consul in Milan,
Salem Jamoum, and the Chairman of the Privatization and Investment Board (PIB), Jamal Al-Nuwaisri,
the President of the Libyan-Italian Chamber of Commerce, Anwar Abusta.
The Tripoli Chamber reported that the meeting discussed the mechanism of organizing the forum under
the auspices of institutions specialized in the fields of economy and investment in both countries.
This would include the participation of the private sector from companies and businessmen interested
in promising investment opportunities in the two countries.
The forum will work to strengthen commercial cooperation and invite the Italian side to contribute
to projects of reconstruction and localization of industries in the Libya.
It will be recalled that on 15 July, Zaccaria Franca, a member of the Casa Libia business association
had confirmed that his association is co-organising a business forum on 22 September in Italy.
Libyan business leaders are invited to attend the event which will cover the following sectors:
Food /Biscuits and chocolates.
Medical equipment
Workshop and construction equipment and technical equipment.
Modern pastry and bakery tools.
